It's about my now deceased mother. . .


When my mother passed away, I woke up one morning realizing I knew very little about her.  Don't get me wrong, she gave everything to her children.  Her time. Her love. Her energy. 

But she left nothing to remember who she was.  She was, and will always be - an enigma. And that is tragic, for me and for my kids.


If you were to stop me on the street today to ask what my mother's favorite colors, furniture or accents were, I wouldn't be able to tell you.  And, the worst part of this story is - I realized I was doing the exact same thing with my children.  Sure I had love, but I had no "style" for them to grab on to.
