5 Steps To Painting Ceramic Tile
1. Using the suggested grit sandpaper, sand ceramic tiles lightly to help paint stick.
2. Wash wall with TSP to clean off any dirt or grease
3. Test your paint product in a hidden area before over all ceramic tile application. If satisfied with results, paint both the tile and grout with the Bonding primer. Bonding Primers are clear interior/exterior binding agents that seeps into the tile sealing any porous surfaces and works like a magnet to hold a new top coat of paint. .Allow to dry as per manufacturers instruction
4. Paint over the dry bonding primer with your gloss or semi gloss latex paint.
5. Though the paint may feel dry to the touch within a few hours, it will take several weeks to completely cure. During this time the paint will scratch easily - use tile area carefully.
Maintenance
Wash ceramic tile with a mild cleanser - abrasive cleaners will pose of scratching or disolving the paint off the ceramic tile
