3. Group the clothes you LOVE into different categories based on you current closet space. Group blouses together business suits, slacks color coordinated etc. Leave your shoes hats and accessories for the last step. Be sure to put your most used clothes in the most easy to reach space. If space is limited - separate the clothes by seasons then you can put half of them away until needed.
4. Before rehanging clothes do a visual inspection of the closet space. Do you need a rack for shoes? Is there room to install hooks for belts and scarves? Is there a shelf for purses? Now is the time to make these adjustments.
1. Empty out the closet completely and separate the clothes into the following 3 categories:
- Clothes you no longer wear - if you haven't worn it in over a year - you probably will never wear it again.
- Damaged clothes - missing buttons, small tears, hems hanging etc.
- Clothes you LOVE, but here's the catch - they must FIT - if you are holding on to something because you are going to lose weight - don't fool yourself. If you do accomplish your goal you will feel so good about it - you'll want new clothes to fit the new you. Go ahead - let go - you will feel so much better when it's all over.
