Focus on the Focal Point
Seeing a room is simply understanding the Focal point or the Focus Point. Designers work to establish a decorating plan to strengthen that natural attraction already built into the room in order to flow with it rather than compete against it.
How can you spot this Focal Point in your living room?
Try to enter your living room as if this is the first time you have seen it. Or, recall the first time you walked through your home before you decided to rent or buy. What were the characteristics you noted that you liked. What about the living room?
It is possible for a room not to have a specific Focal Point, this leaves you with the wonderful challenge of creating one. This can be done quite easily by deciding what you would like to highlight in the room be it wall art or furniture piece.
